2015 was an interesting year. We sourced our fruit from a diffrent ava in the Yakima Valley just east of our previous source. Grape clusters were extremely small and new plantings of different clones. With the heat of the season, juice had high brix and intense tannins. I see lots of body to this vintage. May need to leave it in oak longer than our past vintages.
Look for dark ink in the color, hints of smoke and lots of dark cherry.

This will be a year to remember -- our first Tempranillo,
Hesitant at first, but tasting the fruit, it was an no question, a new vintage and new wine.
Color during fermentation is so different from the dark ink of syrah, I can't wait to taste this new little pig. His name is "Tempranillo."
