Critics' choice: bit of chew in the finish, rich dark ink in the color with hints of fruit. This is truly a food pairing vintage. We harvested earlier than normal and the fruit was very sweet and had intense tannins in the skin. Throughout the racking process it told me, "more oak, more oak,"  neutral American oak barrels for over 18 months. $32.

2013 Syrah

Young at heart: this was truly an amazing year - light rain during harvest, grapes were plump and picked later in the season yielding more than normal brix and  giving this vintage a unique  spice in the finish. The color is a bit less intense than our other vintage.  It spent 9 months in barrel and was bottled in June of 2015.
This will be the youngest of our releases, showcasing the nuances of the Pacific Northwest. Evolution. $29.

2013 Amber
Roussanne

In the style of orange wines: 100% Roussanne fremented on the skin for 30 days and transferred to neutral American oak  for 6 months. This is a true Italian amber wine, in color and in style.  It should be served  chilled and is best opened 30 minutes before serving.

2013 Blush
Syrah & Roussanne

This is our friend's favorite wine:  a true foodie wine started out with co- fermenting syrah and roussanne, the goal  to create a wine with the characteristics of a white wine and the flavors and body that are typical of lighter  syrahs.  Served room temp, Chef suggestion, serve with dungeness crab or wild troll caught salmon lightly smoked. $24.

2014 Syrah

This vintage has been in barrel now for 14 months and will be racked one more time before going to bottle. It is showing a bit lighter than previous vintages and shaping up to be ... "amazing."

2015 Syrah

2015 was an intresting year.  We sourced our fruit from a diffrent ava in the Yakima Valley just east of our previous source. Grape clusters were extremely small and new plantings of different clones. With the heat of the season juice had high brix and intense tannins. I see lots of body to this vintage.  May need to leave it in oak longer than our past vintages.
Look for dark ink in the color, hints of smoke and lots of dark cherry.

2015 Tempranillo

This will be a year to remember -- our first Tempranillo,
Hesitant at first, but tasting  the fruit, it was an no question, a new vintage and new wine.
Color during fermentation is so different from the dark ink of syrah, I can't wait to taste this new little pig. His name is "Tempranillo."
